Tourism Surge Boosts Vietnam’s Economy
Vietnam’s tourism industry is experiencing a remarkable comeback in 2024. The number of foreign visitors in 5M24 surged 65% y-o-y, fueled by a rebound in Chinese tourist arrivals, which was the biggest source market for Vietnam pre-Covid. With the ongoing recovery of Chinese tourist arrivals, and strong travel demand from American tourists, international tourism is on track to exceed pre-pandemic levels this year.
