Hai has nearly 20 years of investment experience, with a focus on the real estate, energy and infrastructure sectors. He has developed particular specialties in deal sourcing, deal structuring, bank financing, and commercial negotiation, all of which leverage his extensive network of relationships with banks and other financial institutions as well as development partners and investors.

In 2025, Hai was appointed head of VinaCapital’s Energy & Infrastructure team, covering an LNG power project, a renewable energy platform, a hyperscale data center platform, and other infrastructure investments with a focus on green transportation in Vietnam.

Hai has covered more than 30 real estate transactions with values exceeding USD 1.5 billion, including hospitality, commercial, and residential/mixed use projects. He previously played an integral role in acquisitions and divestments for VinaCapital’s London-listed real estate fund, and managed the company’s portfolio of properties in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang and Nha Trang.

Hai holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and graduated from the Master of E-Management Program (MEP) at CBAM-Innotech (France).
