Michel Casselman
Michel Joris Carline Casselman, is General Manager of PMV, an investment company based in Brussels and held 100 % by the regional government of Flanders. PMV has close to EUR 1 billion in assets under management, which it invests in the Flanders region and covering assets classes such as venture capital, growth capital, mezzanine loans, real estate and infrastructure. Before taking the helm of PMV, Michel Casselman was a Partner at AeroManS, who manages private equity investments in aviation assets. Michel Casselman also worked for 13 years for Petercam SA, where he started in 1998 as a financial analyst and had several roles with the company. His last position was as Director of Petercam Services responsible for private equity investments. In this role he managed or directed investments in aviation and renewable energy, as well as investments in listed private equity funds in Asia (China, India and Vietnam).Mr. Casselman has more than 20 years of experience, including five years at a technology firm, now part of Oracle, where he started as a consultant and left as Director of Consulting Services. He holds two Masters degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Financial Economics, from the University of Leuven in Belgium.
Charles Isaac
Charles John Walter Isaac is Managing Partner and Fund Manager at B&I Capital AG which he co-founded in 2007. B&I Capital AG manages funds that invest in listed Asian real estate securities. Previously, he was Senior Fund Manager and member of Senior Management at Swisscanto Asset Management, and at Paribas Asia Equity (UK) Ltd. He has 18 years experience in fund management and real estate investment, and started his career at the private client division at Merrill Lynch in London. Mr. Isaac is a CFA charter holder, holds an MSc in Investment Management from City University Business School, an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and the IIMR Investment Management Certificate.
Tran Trong Kien
Mr. Tran currently serves as the Chairman of Thien Minh Group (TMG), which he founded in 1994 as Buffalo Tours. With assets across its three divisions of Travel, Hospitality and Online, TMG is one of the region’s top integrated tourism operators. Mr Tran brings 20 years of local and regional experiance in both property investments and commercial enterprises to VinaLand. He has also applied his entrepreneurial mind to financial services as an independent board member of the Asia Commercial Bank, and has been involved in charitable work with the Pearl S. Buck Foundation. Mr Tran is a qualified Medical Doctor, has a Bachelor of Arts from Hanoi Foreign Language University, and holds an MBA from Hawaii University in America.
Ian Lydall
Mr Lydall is a UK chartered accountant (FCA) with 39 years professional experience, most of which was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and its predecessor firms. Ian’s career has been in the UK (19 years), Oman (2 years), South Africa (3 years) and Vietnam/Indochina for 15 years. His in-depth accounting, audit and advisory experience has been in several different sectors, principally investment management and other financial services and FMCG. Ian was the territorial senior partner of PwC Indochina from 2001 to 2008 and CEO then Chairman of PwC Vietnam until his retirement from the firm in June 2015.
Since retirement from PwC, Ian has taken up independent non-executive roles with ACLEDA Bank Plc. Cambodia and AAA Corporation Vietnam (where he is Chairman) and is an adviser to Talentnet Corporation Vietnam.
Mr Lydall earned a B.Sc. (Econ) Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
